KATHMANDU, July 31: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has started investigation into the controversial multi-million rupees land procurement deals made by the state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC).

The anti-graft body initiated investigation after Republica exposed that Rs 670 million was scammed in the land deal in collusion with senior NOC officials. The lands were procured in several locations for constructing fuel depots.
