KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has expressed deep concern on editorial and a news report carried out by Nagarik daily, our sister organization.

Nagarik on Thursday carried out an editorial on 'growing suspicious CIAA activities' and a news report on 'Fear of CIAA in the airport'.Stating the news report as biased and superficial, the CIAA in its statement on Thursday evening said that it has been performing its duties as a constitutional body.

"Commission has been performing its duties for establishment of good governance and end of irregularities," the CIAA added, "Can Nagarik point out where the commission crossed the limits?"

The constitutional body has been performing its assigned duties as per the constitutional provisions and legal boundaries for the betterment of the country and its people, the statement further added.

"It is unprofessional on the part of Nagarik daily to carry such baseless news," the CIAA said.
