'CIAA revived cantonment case to bargain'

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: CPN (Moist Center) Headquarters Member Mani Thapa has claimed that the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) resuscitated the cantonment corruption case as a bargaining chip.


Speaking at a program organized in the Capital City on Wednesday, leader Thapa said that the anti-corruption body revived the case to bargain at a time when serious questions are being raised over the appointment of CIAA Chief Commissioner, Lokman Singh Karki.

“We will retaliate against it,” he said, “It was a wrong step at a wrong time.”


On a separate note, he said that the India visit by PM Dahal was successful.
