Choppers collide at Surkhet airport

SURKHET, Aug 26: A 9-N-ADD helicopter of Shree Air collided with a Simrik Air helicopter parked at the Surkhet airport during landing at around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday. The tail rotor of the Shree Air chopper and a wing of the Simrik Air chopper suffered damage in the collision. There was no human casualty.



The Shree Air helicopter had returned after transporting World Food Program´s rice to Simikot of Humla. The accident occurred because of the narrow parking space, Anandadev Bhatta, the officiating chief of the Surkhet office of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, said.
