KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Chinese nationals have voted Nepal as the third most-desired neighbor. In an online survey, Nepal was best choice after Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

The Global Times' Chinese-language website, huanqiu.com, had conducted an online survey titled "Select our neighbors," telling internet users that if they could "play God," how would they rearrange China's neighbors. Some 200,000 people participated in the survey.

Pakistan received 11,831 votes, Kazakhstan got 10,118 votes and Nepal received 10,108 votes. Tajikistan was placed fourth with 9,584 votes.

Japan has been voted as the least popular neighbor while Sweden was the most-desired neighbor.
