KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Chinese President Xi Jinping has left Chennai, India for Kathmandu on a two-day state visit to Nepal.
Concluding a two-day informal summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Xi departed for Kathmandu. Xi will be received by his counterpart Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Tribhuvan International Airport at around 4:30 PM today. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and cabinet ministers are also likely to be present at the airport upon his arrival.
Bhandari and Xi will inspect a guard of honor at the TIA. Then, the Chinese high-powered delegation led by Xi will proceed to Hotel Soaltee.
