KATHMANDU, Feb 11: A 10-day Chinese Food Festival has kicked off from Thursday at Kava Restaurant, Thamel. The fest being organized by Fairfield Marriott is offering a taste of authentic Chinese cuisines in Nepal.
According to the Hotel’s Marcomm Associate Laxmi Bashyal, the festival is being organized on the occasion of Chinese New Year, which is being observed on February 16 this year. “For the event, the Hotel has invited Chinese Chef Noah Lo, who heads a culinary team of 15, to provide the guests with a plethora of dishes, including Kung Pao Chicken and Spicy Fish, among others,” said Bashyal.

The festival is being organized with the support of Chinese Cultural Center, and saw a special performance from a group of dancers on the first day.
The festival also offers unlimited drinks and lavish Chinese buffet (for Rs 1,999) to anyone who joins the celebration. The celebration lasts from 6:30 pm till 10:30 pm every day till February 17.
