Chinese FM Wang Yi arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, March 25: State Councilor and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi has arrived in Kathmandu for a three-day official visit. The visiting dignitary was accorded a warm welcome by Foreign Secretary Mr. Bharat Raj Paudyal at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA).

KATHMANDU, March 25: State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi has arrived in Kathmandu for a three-day official visit. The visiting dignitary was accorded a warm welcome by Foreign Secretary Mr. Bharat Raj Paudyal at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA). 


According to a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese diplomat is likely meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Dr Nayan Khadka on Saturday.

Similarly, the source said that the Chinese Foreign Minister will meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday. 


Wang Yi is visiting Nepal at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dr Khadka. He is also scheduled to meet some top leaders of political parties but the details are not disclosed yet.
