Recently installed networking towers in the Sarangkot hill have been transmitting the signals constantly to all our officers in the area and we are sure that this technology will mark positive changes in our everyday security task and in the long term as well, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amrit Kaji Shrestha.
"This upgraded technology has replaced the old radio communications sets and sending short messages (SMS) is also possible," said Shrestha.
According to Shrestha, they are planning to extend the technology to Kathmandu and Sindupalchowk in the coming days. "Out of 2,000 sets donated by China, 200 are being used in Pokhara and the rest will be distributed to various districts gradually," said Shrestha.
During the inauguration, Wu said this gesture of technical support will bolster the good relations between the two nations to another level. "We always want peace in Nepal and we will be assisting Nepal with our utmost support," said Wu.
