RAUTAHAT, April 7: Gujara in Rautahat district is tense following the death of a 13-year-old boy in a collision with a tractor.
The young victim, identified as Sahnbaz Sheikh, son of Hasmullah Sheikh, was residing at his uncle's house in Gujara Municipality-4. The accident occurred on Sunday morning when Sahnbaz, riding a bicycle, was struck by a paddy harvesting tractor traveling from Dhansar to Jangalsaiya.

Despite immediate efforts to transport the seriously injured child to a medical facility in Chandrapur for urgent treatment, he died of his injuries en route to the hospital. After the death of the child, the locals demonstrated with a blockade on the inner road of Dhansar to Jangalsaiya.
The situation became tense as hundreds of residents protested. Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force responded by dispatching a considerable presence to the site to manage the problem and prevent further escalation. Teams led by Sub Inspector Jitendra Sah from Junglesaiya and Sikendra Sah from Lakshminiya Area Police Office and additional forces from Chandrapur, Garuda, and Katahariya were mobilized.
The District Police Office, Rautahat, has stated that efforts are underway to stabilize the situation by mobilizing police from the Area Police Office of Nepal Police. The sources highlighted that the tractor involved in the incident along with its driver is under the control of the police for further investigation.
