BHIMDUTTANAGAR, July 30: A child drowned while he was swimming in a local river in Kanchanpur district on Saturday noon.
The deceased has been identified as Samir Sunar, 12, of Beldangi Municipality-12 in the district, according to District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
Sunar was swimming in Kamire River in the locality when the incident took place. Seriously hurt in the incident, he died during the treatment at the Mahakali Zonal Hospital in Bhimduttanagar, said Police Inspector Padamraj Thapa. RSS
