JANAKPUR, June 28: The Province 2 government has started distributing cycles to Grade 8 girls of various community schools in the province.
As a part of the ‘Chief Minister Save Daughter, Educate Daughter’ campaign, Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut on Thursday distributed 114 cycles to the students of Janakpurdham-based Sakal Bhawan Kanya Secondary School. In the current fiscal year, the province had planned to distribute 14,000 cycles to the girls studying in the eighth grade of various community schools of all eight districts
of the province.

According to Raut, the objective of the program is to ensure that no girl student has to quit education due to the lack of transportation. So as to enhance the skills of women and creating a prosperous province, the provincial government will manage 50 percent reservation for women
in government offices and police from the upcoming year.
“Through women empowerment programs, we are trying to maintain gender equality and create a prosperous province,” said Chief
Minister Raut, adding, “For which all women must be educated which is why we have prioritized this program.”
