DHANUSHA, Oct 6: Chief Minister of Province 2 Lal Babu Raut is scheduled to take a vote of confidence today. A Provincial Assembly session has been called today for CM Raut to take a vote of confidence.
At a meeting of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, Chief Minister Raut had decided to convene a Provincial Assembly session to seek the vote of confidence. After the split of the Janata Samajbadi Party, Chief Minister Raut is going to take a vote of confidence as per the constitutional provision.

Chief Minister Raut had issued a circular to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat a week ago to seek a vote of confidence.
The seventh session of the Provincial Assembly has been convened from today. According to Article 188 (2) of the Constitution, if the party represented by the Chief Minister splits or the ruling party splits and withdraws its support, the Chief Minister must take a vote of confidence within 30 days.
