MAKWANPUR, March 7: The provincial assembly members of Province 3 have accused Chief Minister Dormani Paudel and the government of failing to effectively implement the budget of current fiscal year.
During the meeting of the Provincial Finance and Development Committee held in Hetauda on Wednesday, parliamentarians vented their ire against the chief minister for failing to spend the overall budget.
They not just expressed disappointment toward him for heading the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure but also for failing to implement its budget despite having the highest budget among all the ministries. Besides that, the provincial assembly members stated that the capital expenditure of the province is disappointingly low.
Chief Minister Paudel was also accused of sanctioning budget without understanding the project and spending too much on the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs). Provincial assembly member Sashi Jung Thapa stated that the work of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure has been sluggish because of the chief minister.
