Agitating lawyers have announced not to oversee any of the cases in the court following the allegations raised on the professional integrity of the chief justice since October 24. Meanwhile, the chief justice has been urging the lawyers to carry on with their duties and responsibilities given to them by the constitution and the law.
Due to the prolonged protest at the Supreme Court, ordinary people are forced to wait for a long time to get their cases heard.
Earlier, agitating lawyers had tried to bar Chief Justice Rana from entering the Supreme Court. Security around the Supreme Court has been tightened further in view of the protest launched by lawyers demanding the resignation of Rana.
