KATHMANDU, January 31: Cherish Nepal foundation along with a team of Psychologists from Manasi Therapy (Kolkata, India) concluded seminars to spread awareness on Mental Health.
The foundation visited two different school- Malpur Secondary School, Shauraha Chitwan and Shree Janjivan School (Madhi, Chitwan). During the seminar the team of Psychologist addressed over 100 students regarding Mental Health.
“Counseling provided by trained professionals can make a profound impact on the lives of individuals, families and communities. This service helps people navigate difficult life situations, such as the death of a loved one, divorce, natural disasters, school stress and the loss of a job. It provides the tools and insights to manage mental health issues, suchas anxiety and depression,” said Shivani Shakrani, a counselling psychologist.
“The aim of therapy or counseling is to support people who are undergoing any concerns related to mental health like anxiety, depression, stress, psychosomatic disorders, caused by problems in different aspects of their life (both personal and professional). A person does not necessarily have to be going through a difficult time to seek therapy. Maintaining and improving mental wellness is another goal that can be achieved through professional help,” said another councsellingf psychologist Tarika Modi.
Cherish Nepal Foundation’s collaboration with Mansi Therapy (Kolkata, India), aimed at spreading awareness about mental health to children from the rural areas of Nepal.
