KATHMANDU, Feb 24: Dealers of different mobile brands have launched new models in the market to cash in on the growing demand for latest gadgets in the Nepali market.



Nokia has introduced the long-awaited Lumia 800 in the Nepali market, while Indian manufacturers Karbonn and Colors have unveiled their new models in the market.[break]



Lumia 800 is the first smartphone by Nokia that uses Windows operating system. The set comes loaded with different Nokia applications like Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, Nokia Music and Nokia Store among others.



The set, which is available in Cyan, Black, White and Magenta colors, has 16 GB in-built memory, 512 MB RAM, capacitive touchscreen and 8 MP camera with geo tagging. It uses Microsoft Windows Mango OS. Lumia 800 costs Rs 48,000 in the Nepali market.







Likewise, Teletalk has introduced two new Colors handsets in the market. The Colors X4 uses 2600mAH battery powers the set for more than 1500 hours on standby mode. It has 3.2 MP camera with a flash light, 2.6 inch screen, Java application support for Opera Mini, Facebook, eBuddy, Nimbuzz, Bluetooth, Video player and FM radio. It comes with expandable memory up to 8GB.



Gita Neupane, marketing manager of Teletalk, said the phone will be available in the market for Rs 4,000.



Another Indian manufacturer Karbonn has introduced five new models -- K4 Jumbo Plus, K15 XL, K622 Cinema, K99 Thunder Box and KT51 EZE in the market. Karbonn K4 Jumbo Plus has 1.3 MP camera, 2.4 inch screen and auto call recorder. It supports external memory up to 8 GB. It costs Rs 3,905 in the Nepali market.







Similarly, K15 XL is a slim and elegant set with 6.1 cm screen, 1.3 MP camera, 3.5 mm jack for enhanced multimedia experience. It is available for Rs 3,620.



Another Karbonn handset -- K622 Cinema - has been designed, keeping in mind multimedia needs of consumers. It sports 2.6 inch screen, digital camera with flashlight, big speaker, up to 16GB external memory and auto call recorder. The set has been priced at Rs 3,960.



Karbonn K99 Thunder Box has wireless FM with FM recording and loud music system. Priced at Rs 3,465, the Thunder Box supports up to 8GB external memory.



Another Karbonn handset KT51 EZE has hot touch keys as shortcuts with feather touch experience, wireless FM with recording, digital camera, expandable memory up to 8 GB and additional back panel. The set is available in the market for Rs 4,840.
