In his written clarification submitted to the disciplinary committee of the FNCCI on Wednesday, Choudhary said that act of seeking clarification from him on the basis of "unfounded media reports" was guided by the ill-intention to defame him.
Choudhary, who is a past president of FNCCI, also challenged the decision of the disciplinary committee and said FNNCI has no authority to seek clarification from him.
Earlier, Ravi Bhakta Shrestha, the chief of the disciplinary committee had sought clarification from Choudhary on the charge of making defamatory speeches against FNCCI at public forums.
Chaudhary has asked FNCCI to prove which clause of the FNCCI´s statute allows it to seek clarification from a past president. He further said that his close relations with FNCCI are his assets and it cannot be undone by anyone.
