Chandre Kami found after a week

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Chandre Kami of Humla, who had gone missing after an inter-caste marriage, was found on Wednesday morning. He was found at Yaganchu Bazaar in Kharpunath Rural Municipality- 5 of Humla this morning.

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Chandre Kami of Humla, who had gone missing after an inter-caste marriage, was found on Wednesday morning. He was found at Yaganchu Bazaar in Kharpunath Rural Municipality- 5 of Humla this morning.


Chandre had married a girl of ‘Malla’ caste. His family claimed that Chandre was abducted and disappeared after being brutally beaten by the girl's parents. Ramila Malla, 19, of Lipru village of Mugu Soru Rural Municipality-4 had eloped with Chandre, 19, of Jairgaon of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-1.

After Chandre married Ramila Malla, the youths of Malla’s family took her away from his house at night. Chandre had been out of contact since that day. Ramila and her father are under police surveillance.
