Chandranigahapur hotels raided

GAUR, March 23: A joint team from the Department of Commerce and Metrology conducted raids in a dozen of hotels at Chandranigapur today.



In view of the complaints by the consumers in the district, the team led by Chief of the Regional Office of the Commerce Department, Bijay Khanal conducted the raids.



During raid, dozen hotels were found with the goods as flour contaminated and putrid, vegetables rotten, and use of contraband cooking oil.



The Chief of the team Bijay Khanal said the food items seized during the raid were taken to Hetauda for further test. If the seized items were found substandard, the hoteliers would be taken action, he added.
