BAGLUNG, April 23: Cadres of CPN (Maoist) led by Netra Bikram Chand have captured 84 ropanis of land belonging to Chairman of Prabhu Bank, Devi Bhattachan.
A team lead by Bikiran, Secretary of Baglung chapter of the party, captured Bhattachan's land situated at Babang-9 of Dhorpatan and and hoisted their party flag on Thursday morning.Bikiran said that they captured Bhattachan's land reasoning that Bhatttachan registerd the land by misusing his power.
He further said that Bhattachan had illegally acquired the land belonging to Dalit and Tibetan asylum while Hom Bahadur Bhattachan was President of the VDC back in 2039 B.S.
According to Ram Bahadur Kuwar, President of National Youth Civil Servant affiliated to CPN (M), the captured land will be cultivated by locals.
Organizing a brief program, local leaders of the CPN (M) informed the locals of Dhorpatan about their logics behind their move to capture the land.
