DARCHULA, Feb 9: Construction task of 30-MW Chameliya hydropower project has been completed. The 30-Megawatt-capacity project is constructed at a cost of Rs 16 billion with government investment.
The hydropower project would generate power continuously from Saturday in a commercial manner. Constructed at Shailya Shikhar municipality-1, 15-MW power produced from the hydel project has already been linked to National Transmission Line while additional 15-MW power has been produced a week ago. It took nearly 11 years for the construction of the project.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the project on February 10, Project chief Ajaya Dahal said.
