KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Ichchha Raj Tamang, a former member of parliament and chairperson of Civil Bank, was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on the charges of fraud and embezzlement on Monday.
Tamang was arrested on the charge of embezzling the money deposited by the depositors in the then Civil Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited.
Ichchha Raj Tamang's wife jailed
According to CIB chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Tamang was arrested after receiving complaints of fraud and embezzlement of more than Rs 440 million so far.
