CBS to publish national census report of local-level for first time

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has made preparations to publish the report of a national census of the local level for the first time. 

Only district-level reports of census used to be published till 2068 BS. All the 77 districts have already sent the forms of counting of population of 2078 to the centre. The Bureau has made preparations to enter the details in the computer till mid-January, 2022. Activities would be forwarded to conclude the task of entering the details within six months.

The report will be made public in the beginning of the coming fiscal year. The CBS has made preparations to release a separate census report of center, provinces, districts and local units this year. Nepal conducted a national census for the first time in 1968.
