With the win they bagged a cash prize of Rs 40,000 along with shields and medals, while the runners up kept themselves contented with Rs 20,000. Lokendra Basnet of Anna was declared the man of the final. Everest Casino secured the third place and bagged a purse of Rs 10,000.
Nilkantha Ghimire and Shyam Maharjan of Rad were declared the best player and defense of the tournament. Similarly, Umesh Mainali of the host got best spiker award, best blocker title went to Suman Udas of Anna and Hira Singh Thagunna of Casino Everest was adjudged the best setter.
Rotarians to play cricket
KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Rotarians of Nepal and India are scheduled to play International Fellowship Cricket match on Sunday and Monday. Hosts Rotary Club of Rajdhani in a press conference on Friday informed that the matches will be played at TU ground Kirtipur.
According to the hosts, the first match will be in T-20 format, while in second match each inning will be of 30 overs. This friendly tournament would open the door for Nepali Rotarians to take part in Rotary International Mini World cup scheduled to be held in Calcutta on December, if an international observer approves.
According to Rotarians, players in each team will be aged 30 to 73 years.
