Cash and valuables worth Rs 2.5 m robbed near Gaur

RAUTAHAT, Aug 13: Property worth around Rs 2.5 million was robbed by a gang of burglars on the Nepal-India border Bairganiya near the district headquarter Gaur on early Thursday.

A gang of around 25 robbers wielding weapons barged into the house of Ganesh Agrawal, wholesale trader of kerosene, and decamped with cash, ornaments and gold.According to family sources, the robbers broke into the house through the roof-top, took the guards Sobhan and Subodh under control and looted the house at the gunpoint.

Agrawal's house is 200 meters away from the Indian Police Station and Sashatra Seena Bal (SSB) Camp.

Police said they are seriously investigating into the case and have launched a manhunt to nab the robbers.
