The agencies quoting Forbes said Slim held onto the top spot for the third straight year, with $US7 billion more than Mr Gates, who is second on the list that includes a total of 1226 billionaires this year. [break]
According to reports, US investor Warren Buffet came third, worth $US44 billion, followed by France´s luxury king Bernard Arnault, $US41 billion, and newcomer Spain’s Amancio Ortega,$US 37.5 billion, fourth and fifth respectively.
