Lama, 24, who was currently residing at Balaju, died on the way to Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. He was seriously injured when a car (Ba 27 Cha 6684) hit him at around 10 p.m.
Car driver Krishna Prasad Poudel, 40, and the car have been taken under control, informed in-charge of Maharajgunj Police Range, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Thapa.
Two other taxis (Ba 1 Ja 3317 and Ba 1 Ja 7274) had also suffered minor damages when car driver Poudel was trying to escape the scene.
