Car-hit claims pedestrian in Mahottari

MAHOTTARI, Aug 1:  A pedestrian has died after being hit by a Safari car at Pipara rural municipality-5, Sahodba in the district on Wednesday.

MAHOTTARI, Aug 1:  A pedestrian has died after being hit by a Safari car at Pipara rural municipality-5, Sahodba in the district on Wednesday.


The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Rekha Yadav of Pipara rural municipality-5.


Another person has sustained critical injuries.

A Safari car with the registration No. Ba 11 Cha 8263, had hit two people when it was heading to Kolhuwa from Janakpur.


Rekha, who sustained critical injuries, breathed her last while being whisked to Janakpur for treatment while Rinku Devi, 31, of the same place is undergoing treatment, according to police.


The car had hit them from behind while they were coming to buy vegetables.


District Police Office, Mahottari has taken the car and the car driver under control.
