A group of three youth scattered petrol and put the library on ablaze fire at a time when security guard went outside for meal, added the campus sources.
Window screens of the library were smashed in the incident, said police. Likewise, the fire caused damages to computer printer, monitor, CPU, cupboard and educational materials inside the library.
Search for the arsonists is on, said Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Govinda Adhikari said.
