Cameroon took the match under its control from the beginning to the end and netted at regular interval to achieve its first win. Nepal still does not have a single point and lies at the bottom of the table after two matches. Nepal was defeated 2-1 by Maldives in its first match.
According to goalnepal.com, Nepal´s coach Krishna Thapa expressed satisfaction towards the team´s performance. "I am happy with my boys. They gave their 100 percent on the field," Thapa was quoted as saying during post match conference. He added that Cameroon was a stronger side and they couldn´t match their strength.

"Cameroon is mentally, physically and tactically strong. We couldn´t match their strength." Thapa said.
Nepal´s conceded two goals through goalie Ritesh Thapa´s blunder who was replaced by third choice goalkeeper Bikesh Kutu in the 67th. Nepal´s another goalie Kiran Chemjong did not feature in the match due to fever. It was Kutu´s first match in the national jersey.
Kologny Vigny Merime and Bertin netted two goals apiece for Cameroon while Momaso Joseph got other as Cameroon went 2-0 at the first half.
Nepal conceded the first goal in the 13th minute after a series of mistakes by defenders and goalie. Seizing the ball from defender Rohit Chand, a Cameroon player fired it towards the post and goalie Thapa failed to punch the ball properly paving the way for Merime to score an easy goal.

Bertin doubled the lead in the 40th minute, again capitalizing on poor defensive play by skipper Sagar Thapa. The third goal came in the 61st minute through a free header by Merime who was left unmarked in the box. Bertin made it 4-0 with his second goal of the match after custodian Thapa slipped the ball despite getting his hands to it.
Joseph completed the rout in the 77th minute when he latched on to the ball that rebounded off goalie Kutu after a powerful strike by Eloundou´s .
Nepal will now take on host India during its third match on Tuesday.
