DANG, Feb 1: The ongoing Mid Western Regional Trade, Tourism and Industrial Agriculture Festival – 2073 in Tulsipur is tapping into unconventional and creational methodology to draw visitors. 

The exhibitors are using heater for creating an artificial, but a right climatic temperature for camels transported from the scorching deserts and air conditioner and even fan to cool down yaks from Nepal's freezing highlands, according Festival's Main Organizing Committee Coordinator, Bimal Rijal. The organizers seem to be hell-bent concerned over the comfort of the animals from different topography and climate. 

But it has worked, you may believe it or not but it has darn right worked! The influx of visitors to see the camel, yak and leggy ostrich has crossed all expectations of the ecstatic organizers. 

The visitors are also unable to restrain their joy for being treated with the unusual and outlandish sight of camel, ostrich and yak at a single fest. Senior Citizen Society, Tulasipur Chairman, Lalit Bahadur Bali, said he felt happy to witness the animals from the desert and the Himalayas at the festival. 

On Tuesday, the festival continued its upbeat mood with hundreds of visitors and performances coming from famed artists including Hemanta Sharma, Netra Bhandari, Keshav Sapkota, Ashmita Basnet, Ban Kumari Sunar, Reshma Pun, Bindu Pariyar and Jharana Risal among others. 

Many were seen rushing towards the children's park and for purchasing goods amidst the hustle and bustle along the jam-packed lanes between the lines of stalls. More than 10 stalls at the festival are showcasing foreign and domestic agricultural tools as the organizers aim to promote agriculture and farming. 

The Tulsipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has mobilized all its rank and file so that the fest will live up to its expectations and to avoid any untoward incidents. On Tuesday alone the transaction at the festival hit a whopping Rs 6 million, Financial Coordinator, Lalit Jung Shah shared. 

The festival is being held at Araniko Maidan in Tulsipur with organizers aiming to draw around Rs 500,000 visitors and oversee a transaction of around Rs 200 million. The festival which started on January 26 with the theme: 'Use domestic products and create a strong national economy' will run until February 5. RSS
