“Chiefs of customs offices of both Nepal and China have agreed to ease administrative formalities,” said the release.

The officials have also agreed to ease the entry and exit process for tourists.

"The entry and exit procedures of tourists should be eased as this is the only land route for tourists traveling between Nepal and China,” Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, chairman of Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce (NCCC), said in the meeting, according to the release.

The officials also discussed on ways to solve the quarantine problem -- one of the major hurdles in Nepal-China trade.
