With an aim to mark 70th anniversary of International Organization for Migration (IOM) along with the marking of 15th year since Nepal became Member State of IOM, IOM Nepal is organizing an art competition titled 'Nepal- Tales of Migration' with the theme of migration where there is no entry fee.
‘Art Evolves: Nepali Modern Art’: Review
According to a press statement released by IOM Nepal, it is organizing the art competition among children and youths of 12 – 19 years and/or students of 8th to 12th grades, including foreign migrants and refugees.
The purpose of the competition is to let the children and youths reflect their interpretation of migration, raise discussions around migration about both negative and positive impacts of migration.
The contest also aims to raise awareness and advocate for safer and dignified migration as envisioned by the Global Compact for Migration (GCM) and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The best art will be proposed for Nepal Postal stamp and 20 best ones will be displayed at Migration Art Exhibition to be organized in December.
