MALEKHU (Dhading), July 28: Human rights defenders of Dhading district handed over a memorandum to Chief District Officer (CDO) Biswo Prakash Subedi on Wednesday calling for action against the murderers of Ajit Mijar, 18, belonging to a Dalit community of Panchkhal municipality-6 of Kavrepalanchowk.
The dead body of Mijar – who was allegedly abducted from Kavre and subsequently murdered – was found hanging on a waiting stand nearby Kumpur-3, Malekhu of Dhading.

The rights defenders demanded fair investigation and necessary legal action against the murderers of Mijar stating that he was killed for marrying a non-Dalit girl.
The murder was orchestrated immediately after Kalpana Parajuli of Baunnakilo of Kavre district to whom he got love marriage was handed over to the family due to under age.
Representatives of nine Dalit activist organizations including Dalit Sewa Sangh, Samyikta Dalit Sangharsha Samiti, Samyikta Dalit Adhikar Munch and Nepal Rastriya Dalit Samaj Kalyan Sangh handed over a memo to CDO Subedi.
The Dalit human rights organization came up with the move for police dillydally in investigation arguing it a suicide case. RSS
