The committee has requested the sides concerned not to publish calendars without permission as the dates of festivals and public holidays may vary in lack of coordination. According to the committee, the market monitoring is now underway to ascertain whether any wrongdoings are made to this effect.

The press release further stated that calendars and wall calendars published without permission to serve the objective of misinforming society will be seized during monitoring and action will be taken against the guilty.

Executive Director Dhungel said one can contact the committee’s office at Narayanhiti in Kathmandu or dial up 984168889 if further information is required in this regard. The market monitoring is taking place to regulate calendars first time after the formation of the Committee with the Executive Order.
