KATHMANDU, April 9: The cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on Sunday has been held in abeyance until 3 pm on Monday.


Prime Minister Dahal on Saturday assured United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) of the endorsement of the new constitution amendment proposal floated by him to the latter by the cabinet meeting slated for Sunday.

The cabinet meeting will be held at 3 pm on Monday, informed Law minister Ajay Shankar Nayak.


The cabinet meeting has been considered as being very important since it is likely to endorse the new constitution amendment bill, which will be registered at the Legislature-Parliament if the cabinet endorses it.


Madhesh-based parties have shown positive reaction to the new constitution amendment bill proposed by PM Dahal.
