According to CA Chairman Subas Nembang, the CA will start deliberations on the concept paper and the report from Wednesday.
The committee headed by Gobinda Chaudhari has proposed a total of 11 constitutional commissions in the new constitution.
Seven new constitutional commissions proposed in the new constitution are: Account Auditing Commission, Women´s Commission and Commission for the Welfare of Physically Challenged, Minorities, Marginalized and Backward Communities, Dalit Commission, Indigenous/Ethnic Commission, Madhesi Commission and Muslim Commission.
The committee has also proposed to give continuity to the existing four commissions -- Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Public Service Commission, Election Commission and National Human Rights Commission.
Presenting the preliminary draft and concept paper, committee Chairman Chaudhari said the concept paper was developed on the basis of 39,698 opinions collected from the people. He said that the committee received 72 opinions from various non-government organizations based in Nepal and abroad, 5,894 from Public Relations Committee and 33,702 opinions were collected by various 40 opinion collection committees deputed by the CA.
There are altogether 10 thematic committees in the CA.
Prior to this, National Interest Preservation Committee, Committee on Determining the Bases of Cultural and Social Solidarity and Committee to Protect Rights of Minorities and Marginalized have already submitted their concept papers and preliminary draft reports to the CA. The CA has already completed deliberations on those drafts.
