CA member Karki sent to judicial custody

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Constituent Assembly member from CPN UML Dol Bahadur (DB) Karki has been sent to a 20-day judicial custody over his alleged involved in corruption, our correspondent Bimal Gautam reported.



Karki was presented before the Special Court (SC) on Tuesday afternoon.[break]



Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had sought a month for the investigation into the matter.



Karki was arrested on Monday evening by a team of CIAA after he was found accepting Rs 100,000 from a person. The identity of the person has not disclosed.



45-year-old Karki who hails from Sangjya was elected through proportionate quota.
