Four coaching centers of Butwal, where the students had studied, had arranged for all the students to appear for the exams stating that they were registered as students of the local Buddha Padma Secondary School by allegedly bribing the staffers of the District Education Office.
After Buddha Padma Secondary School said the students were never in fact registered at the school, the Ministry of Education decided to bar the students from appearing in the SLC exams.
The four coaching centers include Kusum Coaching Centre Butwal, Blue Sky Shaikshik Griha, Brihaspati Coaching Center and Lumbini Coaching Center.
Following the OCE decision, the students have been staging protest outside the District Education Office for the last two days. The students have also filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court challenging the OCE decision.
