Businessmen demand five feeder lines

KATHMANDU, May 14: Local businessmen of Jhapa have asked the government to install feeder lines in five different places in the district to provide relief to the industrial sector from load-shedding.



Issuing a joint statement on Thursday, Nepal Tea Producers´ Association and Jhapa Industry Association have demanded that the government set up feeder lines for Bhadrapur, Charali, Dhulabari, Birtamod, Charpane and Damak areas.



They also demanded reduction in load-shedding hours to 12 hours a day from the existing 16 hours in line with an agreement signed among the government, entrepreneurs and Nepal Electricity Authority few days back.
