BUSINESS BRIEFS: WaiWai Soup in market

KATHMANDU, March 18: CG Exim -- a subsidiary of Chaudhary Group -- has launched Wai Wai Soup in the market. According to a press statement issued by the company, the soup which, is packed in a special wrapping, is available in three different flavors -- chicken, mushroom and mixed vegetables.



The soup can be taken as a healthy food supplement, said the statement. The soup is available in retail shops, super markets and departmental stores at Rs 60 per packet.[break]



Hero announces lucky winners

KATHMANDU
: Nepal General Marketing (NGM), the authorized distributor of Hero bikes in Nepal, has announced the final winners of its scheme called ´Dimag Kharab Offer´ launched on the occasion of New Year 2013. According to a press statement issued on Monday, Bridri Chandra Yadav with Coupon No. 3309, Govinda Mahato with Coupon No. 0757 and Sudip Tandukar with Coupon No. 2533 have received cash refund of 100 percent, 75 percent and 50 percent, respectively. The winners were selected through a lucky draw, said the statement.

: Allied Tradelink International has launched Karbonn Smart Tab 3 Blade in the Nepali market. According to a press statement issued on Monday, the 7.1-inch tablet is powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.1 processor and 1.2 GHz processor complemented. It uses 512 MB RAM. The tablet has scratch resistant high resolution WVGA screen with capacitive touch. On the connectivity area, it has 3G support through USB dongle and Wi-Fi. Other features include 1.3 MP front facing camera, HD video support up to 1080p, 2600 mAh powerful battery and 3D G-sensor. It supports external memory up to 32 GB. The gadget is available at Rs 11,000. Allied Tradelink provides smart flip cover and 8 GB memory card free with every purchase.



IME Automotives opens showroom in Birgunj

KATHMANDU
: IME Automotives -- a subsidiary of IME Group -- has opened a showroom for SAME tractors in Birgunj. According to a press statement issued by the company, Chandra Dhakal, chairman of IME Group of companies and managing director of SAME, India jointly inaugurated the showroom. IME Automotives will very soon start overall sales, distribution and service of SAME tractors from its Birgunj showroom, said the statement.



150 schools to use Midas eClass

KATHMANDU
: Around 150 schools in the country are using the animated audio-visual teaching software called Midas eClass developed by Midas Technologies in the coming session. Issuing a pres statement issued on Monday, the company said animated interactive audio-visual teaching tools have been designed on the basis of curriculum approved by the government. "The eClass will empower teachers to transform traditional blackboard-and-chalk classrooms into interactive sessions," the statement said, adding, "The multimedia content in Midas eClass includes images, audio, animations, demonstration, simulations, interactive games, activity sheets, and more which will make learning a fun for children said the statement."
