BUSINESS BRIEFS: Royal Finance holds AGM

KATHMANDU, March 13: Royal Merchant Banking and Finance Limited earned net profit of Rs 30.8 million in the last fiscal year. The finance company, which held its 11th annual general meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, said it mobilized Rs 2.30 billion in deposits and issued loans worth Rs 1.99 billion till the second quarter of 2012/13. Sansar Remit starts operation



KATHMANDU: Sansar Remit has started operation by establishing its office in Durbar Marg. According to a press statement issued by the company, it has signed an agreement with NEC Money Transfer headquartered in Spain. At present, Sansar Remit will provide remittance service from Spain, Italy and Portugal. In Nepal, the company has tied up with NMB Bank and customers can receive the payment from more than 1,500 representatives of NMB Bank in Nepal.
