BUSINESS BRIEFS: NATTA submits 10-pt demand to govt

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has submitted a 10-point demands to the government. A delegation of the association led by its President Pabitra Kumar Karki met newly appointed tourism secretary Yagya Prasad Gautam on Wednesday and handed over the demands.



The association, among others, has demanded the government to appoint CEO in Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and create environment conducive for procuring new aircraft for Nepal Airlines Corporation. [break]



It has also demanded the government to enforce travel incentive leave, invest on infrastructure development to support tourism industry and improve functioning of Tribhuvan International Airport and others.



Etihad signs new agreement with Melbourne Stadium

KATHMANDU: Etihad Airways has signed a new agreement to extend its naming and marketing rights for Melbourne´s Etihad Staudim, a press statement of the airlines said on Wednesday. The five year extension was announced in Melbourne by President and CEO of the airlines James Hogan and Ian Collines AM, CEO of the Melbourne Stadiums.



"Placing the Etihad name on this world class sports and entertainment stadium, as well as activating our marketing and hospitality rights, has provided Etihad Airways with a solid platform to build our brand across the state of Victoria and the whole of Australia," the statement quoted President Hogan as saying.


Richarm to sell Collins in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Richarm at City Center has started selling Collin brand of apparels. Issuing a statement on Wednesday, Akhil Trading that runs the store said Collins ia a popular brand in Europe among both middle and high class people. The store has introduced spring and summer collection of Collins which includes high quality trousers, shorts, skirts and Polo T-shirts and shirts for men, according to a statement issued by Akhil Trading.
