BABIYACHOUR, Myagdi, July 4: Locals of Thadakhani of Raghuganga rural municipality-6 have constructed a building for the establishment of Chhantyal museum with an objective of promoting tourism by conserving cultural identity of Chhantyal community.
They constructed two-storey community building at a cost of more than four million rupees with the financial support of locals, migrant Nepalese, local youth clubs, and rural municipality, said Chairperson of Users' Committee, Dalman Chhantyal.
According to Chhantyal, the rural municipality had provided Rs 700,700 financial support to construct the building.
Traditional materials used day-to-day by Chhantyal community , traditional attire, materials used in ceremonies and festivals like birth, marriage, death ritual and historical inscription will be put on display, said ward member Tekjit Chhantyal.
A guest house will also be run from the building keeping in view of increasing inflow of tourists to visit Thadakhani, a tourist destination, he said.
