Birendranagar, May 22: The budget session of Karnali province is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 24.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers of Karnali Province has recommended to Chief Minister Tilak Pariyar to convened the budget session at 3 PM on May 24. The provincial government's policies and programs and budget will be presented in the same session.
Karnali Province Assembly’s budget session prorogued
Ministers have intensified discussions with stakeholders about the policies and programs. Krishna Bahadur GC, spokesperson for the provincial government and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, informed Republica that the policies and programs and budget are being formulated by prioritizing education, health and physical infrastructure development.
The ministries of Karnali Province are discussing the budget issues as well as preparing the budget. Ministries and the Chief Minister's Office of Karnali Province have been thronged by leaders/activists and people's representatives to demand plans.
Stakeholders have suggested that the programs should be result-oriented rather than worker-oriented. Earlier, the winter session of the provincial assembly was prorogued on April 30. Since the formation of the new government, 15 meetings were held in the first session.
