"The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has said the airport will come into operation from January in 2023. Buddha Air will operate its first Pokhara-Benaras-Pokhara flight from the airport," said a company official.

Pokhara-Banaras-Pokhara flights will be available on three days:  Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday in a week, according to the company.

As the company says, the government is making initiatives for an air traffic route from India, and there will be two regular flights along the Pokhara-Delhi-Pokhara route on a daily basis once the route and slot permissions will be obtained from the Indian Government.

The company has decided to operate three flights on the Pokhara-Dehradun-Pokhara route. At present, Buddha Air ensures the Kathmandu-Banaras flight via the Tribhuvan International Airport.
