Locals Lal Mani Bantha, 35, Tejendra Gharti, 17, Man Kumari Gharti, 29, and Sun Kumari Gharti, 30, were arrested while slaughtering two cows at 11 in the night.[break]
Police said the four would be tried as per the law of the land.
Militant commander held
JANAKPUR: Dhanusha commander of the Akhil Tarai Mukti Morcha (Jay Krishna Goit) has been arrested for with weapons from Dhawauli-4, Dhanusha Saturday evening. Gulshan Mukhiya, 22, of Umaprempur-4 was arrested from a hut inside a mango grove. A 12-bore gun, a pistol and two rounds of bullets were snatched recovered from the spot, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jagdish Pokharel.
Two held for vandalism
BAGLUNG: Police have arrested two Maoist cadres for allegedly vandalizing the Baglung district chapter office of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Uma Prasad Chaturbedi, Maoist cadres Rudra Bahadur Mahat and Bidur Sharma vandalized 32 chairs and one table during the general assembly of Baglung FNCCI. Meanwhile, the Baglung chapter of FNCCI has expelled six members for abetting the in vandalizing the office.
Missing soldiers found dead
TANAHU: The soldier duo of Ranbam Battalion, Lamjung who went missing in the reservoir of Mid-Marsyangdi Hydroelectricity Project following a jeep accident Saturday has been found dead Sunday. The death toll of the jeep accident has now reached three with the death of Jamdar Karna Bahadur Basnet of Sarlahi and Head Constable Thaman Dangi.
