Although this is the shortest route from Bijuwar to the district headquarters, lack of a bridge over the river there means that the people are compelled to use a longer route and pay double the normal fare for travelling to the district headquarters.
Most of all, the farmers in Bijuwar, Thapadanda, Pandeydanda and Karkidanda areas are facing difficulty transporting their produce to the market due to the lack of a bridge with the onset of the monsoon season.
The Bijuwar-Khalanga road was repaired during the Swargadwari Pyuthan Tourism Festival. But the bridge was never constructed.
