PARBAT, March 31: The District Administration Office, Parbat has established a breastfeeding room within the premises of the DAO. The room was established considering the needs of the women service recipients.
The DAO is working to make its services gender-friendly and the breastfeeding room is one step towards that end, said Chief District Officer Guru Dutta Dhakal. The number of women coming to receive services is also increasing and the room is aimed at helping breastfeeding women to avail of the services without any problem.
The breastfeeding room has been established at a building constructed with support from the Urban Development and Building Division Office under the Gandaki State government. Special arrangement has also been made for the elderly citizens and people with disabilities.
